What should we pay attention to when using camphor pills

Camphor pills and sanitary balls are effective insect repellents. However, there are essential differences between them: camphor pills come from natural camphor trees; It is the trunk and root of camphor tree; Camphor oil is distilled from branches and leaves, and then purified into white crystals; The sanitary ball is a crystal called naphthalene extracted from coal tar, and a small amount of benzene dichloride is added. The following points should be paid attention to when using bangnao pills and sanitary balls:

(1) Synthetic fibers are not afraid of moths, so it is not necessary to put camphor pills, let alone sanitary balls, in the storage of such clothes. Because the sanitary ball is an extremely volatile organic solvent, it can chemically react with the high molecular organic compounds in the synthetic fiber, damage the clothing, reduce the fiber strength, or melt the chemical fiber fabric into small holes.

(2) Silk and wool clothes are easy to be eaten by insects, so camphor balls or sanitary balls must be added to store such clothes. But the insect repellent can’t come into direct contact with clothes. It’s better to wrap it with white paper or cloth, put it in the four corners of the suitcase, or hang it on the top of the wardrobe. Keep and collect light colored silk clothes. Try to put less or no camphor pills and sanitary balls, otherwise the clothes will turn yellow.

(3) Clothes that have come into contact with camphor pills and sanitary balls, especially underwear, should be dried in the sun before wearing, so as to volatilize the benzene that has penetrated into the clothes, because benzene is a toxic chemical raw material, which is harmful to human body.

(4) If you want to get rid of the camphor smell on your clothes immediately, you can put your clothes in plastic bags, put deodorant used in the refrigerator at the same time, and tie the mouth of the bag tightly, so that the camphor smell will disappear soon. If you are not in a hurry, put your clothes in the shade to dry for a few days.
