Watching TV on a treadmill can hurt your eyes

It is hot in summer. Many people exercise in the gym or on the treadmill at home, and often run while watching TV. In fact, when you exercise on the treadmill, watching TV while running can easily lead to eye soreness, which may affect your vision in the long run.

It’s better not to watch TV while running, but to listen to music instead. Because when watching TV on the treadmill, the eyes will constantly adjust to match the changing position of the movement, resulting in a lot more movement of the eye muscles than usual, which will cause mild fatigue of the eyes, cause soreness, and affect vision for a long time.

In addition, running and watching TV will also distract people, and they will be injured if they are careless, especially those who are not familiar with the operation of the treadmill and have high exercise intensity. If you feel that running is boring, you can listen to some relaxing music while running. Research shows that fast-paced music can effectively improve the sports effect and increase the fun of sports.

After getting on the treadmill, we should start with “dynamic” warm-up such as jogging and jogging, and gradually increase the amount of exercise. This process usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. When getting off the treadmill, you should also slow down gradually to avoid falling down due to dizziness. The time and intensity of exercise on the treadmill should be determined according to the purpose of exercise. Jogging for more than half an hour will consume fat, and more than an hour will consume protein. Therefore, if the goal is to lose weight, the time of exercise should not be too long, 40 minutes is appropriate, otherwise it is easy to overdraw and cause sports injury.
