Watch out for the six tumor lights

“Difficult to find and easy to delay” is the most terrible place for children’s tumors. Because the clinical symptoms are very similar to some common diseases, children’s tumors are easy to be misdiagnosed. At this time, parents should assume the heavy responsibility of “gatekeepers”, be highly alert to the following early signs of children’s tumors, and take their children to the hospital immediately if they find anything suspicious.

1. Unexplained pallor and bleeding. It is often accompanied by burnout, loss of appetite, anemia and other phenomena, or bleeding of unknown reasons, suspicious bleeding points or ecchymosis. It is necessary to go to the Hematology Department of the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

2. Fever of unknown cause. Don’t think that a child’s fever must be a cold. If he has a fever for more than half a month without any reason, and his temperature changes from high to low, it is difficult to control, he can’t take medicine at home again, and he should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Because it is likely to be a clinical manifestation of leukemia or neuroblastoma.

3. Unexplained pain. Such as abdominal pain, joint pain, headache, etc., and often have neurological symptoms, such as vomiting and unsteady walking.

4. Persistent lymphadenopathy. Most of the tumors caused by virus infection will cause local or systemic lymphadenopathy. If it lasts for a long time and has no tenderness, it should be examined in detail.

5. Abnormal swelling of limbs and trunk. Some bone cancers or rhabdomyosarcomas are all signs of swelling of limbs or trunk. Don’t treat them as trauma rashly.

6. Eyes have abnormal reflected light. Children’s eyeballs produce abnormal reflected light to light, their eyes are deep, and white objects can be seen. They should go to the eye department for examination quickly.

In addition, don’t take it seriously when your child is complaining of abdominal pain or swelling; The sudden appearance of unexplained masses and swelling on the child’s body and under his ribs is not a good sign. When you change clothes and take a bath at ordinary times, you may as well observe the child’s stomach more and press it with your hands to see if there is anything abnormal.

It is worth reminding that, like adult tumors, early detection of disease clues is crucial to curing diseases, so as to win treatment time and ensure curative effect.
