6 new measures for lunch break: no sleep, no spirit

Lunch break is the time to “recharge” your body. However, for those who do not have the habit of taking a nap or have no conditions for taking a nap, the lunch break seems to become very luxurious. Recently, Taiwan’s health magazine published an article teaching you six new ideas for lunch breaks, so that you can feel energetic without sleeping.

Massage or wash your head. If you spend the whole morning in front of the computer, not only will your eyes be sour and astringent, but your shoulders and neck will also be tight and stiff after a few hours. During lunch break, you may as well massage the head acupoints such as Jingming acupoint, Taiyang acupoint, Baihui acupoint and Fengchi acupoint, which will help relieve muscles and improve eyesight. In addition, you can also go to the hairdresser to wash your hair, and the whole person will become refreshed.

Walk after dinner. Tiredness is not necessarily caused by not sleeping enough, but also by lack of exercise. You may as well take a walk outdoors during your lunch break, which helps to relax your mood, unblock your muscles and veins, and make your blood run more smoothly.

Apply a cold towel to your face. After a busy morning, people’s faces are already oily, and their skin is stuffy in grease and dust, which makes people feel bad. Wash your face during lunch break, or dip a handkerchief or small towel in cold water and apply it for a few minutes. The temperature of your face will decrease, which will make you feel energetic in the afternoon.

Recline on the back of the chair. Many people will lie on the table for a while during their lunch break, but sleeping on their stomach and arms is easy to press. When they wake up, they often have numbness and indigestion, which will affect the rest effect. If there is no afternoon nap condition, it is better to tilt the back of the chair backward and put a cushion to support the waist, and lean on it to squint for a while.

Stand and chat with colleagues. Chatting with colleagues after dinner is also a good way to relax. Moderate venting and spitting out bitterness can help relieve psychological pressure. But you can’t sit and chat, otherwise your lower abdomen will get bigger and bigger. It’s better to stand or chat while walking. Standing for 15-30 minutes after meals can not only prevent fat from accumulating in the lower abdomen, but also facilitate digestion and absorption.

Tidy my desk. If you work hard even during your lunch break, you will be more tired, leading to a decrease in work efficiency in the afternoon. At this time, it’s best to do something you like, such as playing chess, doing some small crafts, and changing your mood. You can also sort out your messy desk a little and put away things that have nothing to do with your afternoon work, so as to avoid distractions and reduce work efficiency.
