Causes of fatigue

Nica Goldberg, a professor of health at New York University Medical Center, and Rebecca Maru, an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, pointed out that there are seven main reasons for fatigue. If you feel tired for a week in a row, you should consider seeing a doctor.

Cause 1: anemia

Anemia will cause hemoglobin to be on the low side, and hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen sucked in from the lungs to various parts of the body. When the oxygen supply of body tissues is insufficient, people will feel tired. Especially during menstruation or postpartum, women may suffer from anemia due to excessive blood loss. In addition, lack of iron, folic acid or vitamin B12 can also cause anemia. If you often feel tired, tired, cold and dizzy, you should consider whether you have anemia. If the answer is yes, you’d better eat more spinach and red meat. After the anemia is cured, the fatigue symptoms will disappear within 30 days.

Cause 2: signs of bad heart

If you feel unprecedented fatigue after cleaning your room, tidying your garden or working continuously, you should be careful of heart disease. Experts point out that many women do not know that their hearts have problems, and heart disease is one of the main causes of death for women. Timely detection and treatment of heart disease can reduce fatigue.

Cause 3: excessive caffeine intake

People like to drink coffee and coke to refresh themselves. But for women, excessive caffeine intake will have the opposite effect, causing fatigue and sleepiness. If you often feel tired, you should drink less coffee, tea and chocolate.

Cause 4: food allergy

Food can provide energy, but if the body is allergic to food, people will be bleary eyed all day long.

Fatigue is an early symptom of food allergy. Eat less or no food that makes you allergic.

Reason 5: Snoring

Overweight people are prone to snore when sleeping. Snoring will disrupt the sleep cycle and make people tired.

Reminder: snorers should not use hard pillows. Such women should lose weight and quit smoking, otherwise the risk of stroke will be greatly increased.

Cause 6: urinary tract infection

After suffering from urinary tract infection, you may not feel burning or urgent urination, but you may feel tired. In most cases, urinary tract infection is caused by bacteria in the urethra, and fatigue will disappear within a week after oral antibacterial treatment.

Cause 7: Hypothyroidism

If the body is lazy and the mood is depressed, it may be hypothyroidism.

According to the American Thyroid Foundation, after 60, nearly 20% of women will be tired due to thyroid dysfunction, but most of them do not know it. At this time, supplementing corresponding hormones can improve thyroid function and alleviate fatigue.
